After the disappointment of relegation from the Zagame's State League 1 South East at the conclusion of the last round of the 2016 season, Berwick City will be heading into 2017 with renew optimism with the signing of Gerry McDonagh as new head coach of the men’s senior team.

The following is from the Berwick City website...

We are excited and pleased to announce that our new senior men's coach is Gerry McDonagh.

Gerry brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the local soccer landscape to Berwick City. He has played the game at the highest level in Victoria for clubs such as Bentleigh Greens, Richmond and Frankston Pines.

Since ending his playing days, Gerry has become involved in coaching and has successfully completed the AFC 'B' Licence.

Most recently Gerry was the Senior Assistant coach at Dandenong City in 2016 and has previously also held similar positions at Bentleigh Greens and Mornington.

We are very much looking forward to Gerry joining the club and working with our senior group to help us deliver future success.

There will be a BBQ and get together for players to meet and speak to Gerry on Thursday November 3rd at 7pm in the Fox Rd clubrooms.
All 2016 senior and reserve players are invited, as well as any other interested players looking to find out more about Berwick City's 2017 campaign.
